As a Technical QA Analyst II you will build and use tools to assist teams in making quality an everyday part of the Software Development Life Cycle. You understand the importance of quality upfront, and how technical debt can harm a product long term; which affects the player experience. You will use your voice as a player to advocate for the best solutions both technically and experientially.

As a Technical QA Analyst II in Gameplay, you'll be the quality owner for upcoming gameplay features. You will set testing requirements with the product owner and engineers, holding them accountable to their commitments. You will guide the implementation of static, dynamic, verification, and validation testing processes and improve how we manage quality testing efforts. These efforts span the functionality, performance, reliability, scalability, and usability of gameplay features and development tools for League of Legends. This includes features and tests developed within the game engine, game code, development tools, and game scripts. You will ensure the execution of all test coverage within your team and report on product quality. You'll report to a Gameplay QA Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Create test plans, test cases, and maintain the team's holistic testing strategy
  • Coordinate with external partner testing teams, overseeing and guiding their work
  • Partner with Software Engineers to maintain documentation and test coverage

  • Manage the defect database for the team, setting and enforcing best practices
  • Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years Software Quality Assurance Experience, with at least 1+ in a technical quality role
  • Proficient in Test Strategy, Planning, and Design.
  • Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g. GoogleTest, Xunit, Selenium, Cucumber / Specflow, Appium, Postman)
  • Experience working with Scripts (Lua, Python, Monoscript, C#))
  • Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with C++
  • Comfortable working with a variety of technologies including desktop clients, hosted services, CI/CD/CT pipelines, and 3rd party platforms
  • For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. If you embody player empathy and care about the experiences of players, this could be the role for you!
