Lost Boys Interactive is a member of the Gearbox Software and Embracer Group family. We are a rapidly growing AAA game studio based in Madison, Wisconsin, with full remote work available from any state in the US. We provide top-tier development for our partners as well as working on our own AAA game projects. Lost Boys Interactive is growing our DevOps practice to help level up our AAA clients' DevOps capabilities. At Lost Boys, we bring our collective DevOps experience to our clients to help them modernize their infrastructure and operations via automation and leading technology solutions.

You will be working with our partner AAA game studio to lead a team building out CI/CD pipelines, enabling operations, and building infrastructure in VMware and cloud environments. As an embedded member of an agile team, you will work to improve existing workflows and enable our client's next generation game properties and tools.

In this position you are will be learning on the go. Implementing new technologies that this studio has not used before. Your work will be used as a model moving forward for other teams to evaluate and use.

Some combination of experience with the following technologies is required:

  • Linux system administration
  • OnPrem virtualization: VMware
  • Cloud platforms: Azure (preferred), AWS, GCP
  • Cloud automation tools: Terraform, cloud-init
  • Configuration management: Chef (is preferred), Vagrant, Ansible, Salt
  • CI/CD: TeamCity and Jenkins (are preferred), Bamboo
  • Programming/Scripting languages: Go, Ruby or Bash (are preferred), Python
  • Authentication: Active Directory, LDAP
  • Networking: DNS, VPN, ACL, DHCP
  • Version Control: Perforce and Git (are preferred), SVN
  • Operating Systems: Linux, Windows
  • Manage and troubleshoot web applications.

    • Beneficial Experience - not required, but would make a better candidate:

  • Experience utilizing REST/HTTP API
  • HashiCorp Vault
  • HashiCorp Packer
  • HashiCorp Nomad
  • HashiCorp Consul
  • Public Cloud platforms: Azure or AWS
  • GoLang Development

    • Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 3-5 years hands-on technical DevOps work experience.
  • Experience working with and communicating on a remote Agile/Scrum team.
  • Willingness to work in an on-call capacity on a rotational basis.
  • Ability to write and maintain effective technical design documentation.
  • Ability to innovate, verbally articulate complex technical theories and provide proof of concepts.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • High interest in and motivation to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to confer with peers and seniors to share and learn knowledge pertaining to architecture, technical implementation, and best practices.
  • Ability to communicate well and work across departments in a professional manner.
