Founded in 2020, Gunzilla Games is the independent AAA video game developer and publisher behind the free-to-play mobile game TECHNOCORE, the gamer-first blockchain GUNZ, and the upcoming next-gen battle royale Off The Grid, in three metropolitan locations: Frankfurt, Germany (HQ); Kyiv, Ukraine; and London, UK. Gunzilla's formidable team of talent comes from a variety of industry-leading studios and publishers (Ubisoft, Electronic Arts (EA), THQ, etc.) as well as Oscar-nominated screenwriter, director, and producer Neill Blomkamp, Chief Visionary Officer, and the author of the Altered Carbon series, which has been adapted into a popular Netflix show, Richard K. Morgan, Script Writer.

    Gunzilla Games is looking to recruit a Copywriter to join our Marketing team for our studio and games – with a strong emphasis on Off The Grid, an all-new AAA Battle Royale third-person shooter, due for release on PC, PlayStation®5, Xbox® Series XS.


    As our Copywriter you will:

  • Produce messaging that supports and elevates various marketing initiatives across all brands - including social media, websites, newsletters, press, advertising, print, and more.
  • Collaborate with narrative, designers, brand, product, and other stakeholders to align creative actions with the identity and vision of our games.
  • Support B2B and B2C communication initiatives for the studio.
  • Lead advisory projects destined to bettering internal copywriting practices.
  • Bring a fresh voice in crafting narratives throughout the development of our games.
  • Integrate lessons from data analytics and use SEO/SMO practices to optimize content.
  • Research relevant industry topics and viral trends to identify new & original content.
  • Work with internal and external resources and experts to brainstorm creative ideas.
  • 2+ years of experience writing and editing copy in a marketing-related role, freelance or agency, preferably in the games or entertainment industry.
  • A proven and identifiable track record of written work, ideally with a portfolio.
  • Impeccable English writing skills, a sharp eye and a swift quill.
  • A strong understanding of positioning, voice, tone and intent in written marketing material.
  • A deep passion for storytelling, epic literature, and the wonders of word crafting.
  • A fan of all things pop culture, literature and gaming, extra points for science-fiction.
