The Esports team is focused on delivering amazing fan experiences through our
global events and regional competitions. Our professional and semi-
professional competitive tiers in League of Legends, VALORANT and other
Esports involve thousands of players and hundreds of organizations competing
every week.
As Project Manager II supporting the Esports team you will focus on
managing projects of various sizes across VALORANT Global Esports, and lead a
number of cross-functional projects while working closely with numerous teams,
including product, broadcast, events, marketing and regional leaders around
the world. You will manage the planning of several cross-functional programs
and projects with focus on setting, tracking and holding the relevant teams
accountable towards reaching key milestones. Furthermore, you will facilitate
various rituals from standups to larger department-wide gatherings. You will
report to the Chief of Staff for the Esports Pillar.
Your solution-oriented mindset and forward-thinking will help you to remove
obstacles during project execution. Serving as the air traffic controller for
emergent work, you'll prioritize project increments across multiple complex
problem domains. Your work will help to drive positive impact for players,
fans and Riot across the esports ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
Develop project roadmaps and success criteria aligning with business
objectives
Create clear project plans together with involved departments and
collaborate with cross functional teams to identify & build action plans
and associated communications
Facilitate team chartering exercises on new projects, including
development of key rituals, documentation, and clarification of roles and
responsibilities.
Lead the delivery of impactful programs that involve multiple concurrent
work streams and rely on cross-functional teams to complete
Build project trackers and reporting to inform about the status of
deliverables, including progress, achievements, bottlenecks, dependencies
or challenges leading to delays
Make every meeting count, ensuring pre-reads are developed, agenda items
are hit, notes get disseminated, and next steps are documents and tracked
Help improve and implement program management/change processes, methods,
tools, and guidelines
Create a healthy team ecosystem with all team members by facilitating and
iterating on team process such as retros and general rituals involving
smaller and larger teams
Build relationships with product leadership/important cross-functional
partners and act as a trusted advisor
Manage budget spend, ensuring funds are spent in accordance with
leadership guidance and intent
Evaluate important projects and identify the areas (resources, schedule,
risks) that either require additional definition or are not being
sufficiently managed
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of project and/or program management experience
Experience working with senior leaders to launch new projects/programs
Experience managing delivery of cross-functional projects and/or multi-
workstream programs
Experience managing multiple distinct projects simultaneously
Experience developing roadmaps or work plans (milestones, timelines,
risks, etc.) to support project progression
Experience developing, coordinating, and facilitating team rituals
Experience developing reporting to track key milestones, budgets, and to
flag risks/delays for senior leadership
Organized, with a natural inclination for planning, and capable of
responding quickly to changing circumstances or direction
Working knowledge of project planning tools with evidence of practical
application
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working with both internal and external facing
projects/programs
Experience working on both B2C and B2B focused projects
Experience in sports, media, gaming, and entertainment
Passion for gaming, sports/esports

(Los Angeles Only) Base salary range between $99,500.00 -
$140,100.00 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company
match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term
disability + open PTO.
