Principal Technical UI Designer

ProbablyMonsters is looking for a creative, technical, and collaborative
Principal Technical UI Designer. You will join a team focusing on action
game play, world building, level design, AI, and character design during the
early phases of game development.
We are seeking a Principal Technical UI Designer who is experienced in
developing gameplay and/or heroes for action games. We are in an early phase
of development where exploration and innovation happen quickly and are
balanced against building tools and hardening the core game. We are all

creating best-in-class action game experiences.

that meet deadlines and also excite players.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Drive the creation of core UI features that enhance the user experience.
Develop UI architecture using in-engine data and scripting.
Drive the development of UI systems both in and out of game including
account progression and monetization.
Work directly with leadership to ensure that the vision is being properly
executed and clearly communicated internally and externally.
Use Unreal tools and pipeline processes to implement visual designs
including text, bitmaps, and animations.
Exhibit expert design knowledge to creatively solve complex problems,
considering UX principles and technical limitations.
Attend playtests and provide constructive feedback across all aspects of
the game.
Communicate technical requirements and iterate on UI design workflows and
pipelines through all phases of development, effectively managing scope
and prioritization.
Support the team with desk side communication.
QUALIFICATIONS:
8+ years of professional experience as a Designer.
Experienced in UI/UX design and knowledgeable in many other areas of
design.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Advanced Blueprint or related scripting engine experience and/or
foundational experience programming in C++/C#.

Compensation:
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt (salaried) position.
The full salary range for this position is $169,000 - $262,000 per year.
The upper third of the salary range is typically reserved for existing
employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. When an offer is
made, many factors are considered, such as your unique experience and
skills, where you live, where the work will be performed, what similar
jobs pay, internal equity, and what you're looking for.
In addition to base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for
additional incentives, such as a sign-on bonus and short- and long-term
incentives. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
