Summary

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for administration of assigned tasks, ensuring accurate and timely payments of bi-weekly payroll and off cycle bonus payrolls. This includes verifying the accuracy of payroll calculations, tracking employee deductions, paid time off (PTO), tax withholding and other payroll data. Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system.

What You'll Do This position will report directly into the Senior Payroll Manager. Key

responsibilities of this role are:

Perform duties necessary to process payroll, commission, bonus, special payments and Payroll tax.

Understand the payroll processes and adhere to strict deadlines.

Audit employee data imported from HR systems into ADP, review errors and exceptions and correct as needed.

Prepare special payments and payroll deductions ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Assist employees and stakeholders with inquiries, and requests regarding payroll. This includes properly applying technical knowledge and skills, communicating effectively.

Being an escalation point in the team. Research, troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues in a timely manner.

Introduce process improvements in Payroll processes.

Manage and maintain key stakeholder relationships (Finance, Legal, P&C, etc)

Create and distribute reports as needed to strategic business partners

Maintenance of Payroll Sharepoint and required documentation (ie SOP's, Work Instructions, Process maps, Service Catalogue).

Reconcile and pay all UK tax, NI and statutory payments

Assist P&C during the benefits renewal process

Ability to complete tax year end including P60s and P11Ds

What We're Looking For

In-depth UK Benefits and Payroll knowledge and have HR Functional knowledge, ideally gained in a professional services environment.

Extensive UK tax legislation experience (including ex-pats, double tax treaties, etc.)

Implementation of systems and process improvement experience

Year-end experience.

Previous experience of processing payroll in a stand-alone role or at senior level within a team.

ADP Celergo and Workday experience is desirable.

Excellent judgement analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as a team player.

Strong excel skills with the ability to do v-look ups and pivot tables.

Strong audit skills.

Have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to adapt in a fast-paced working environment.
