Project Bifrost is a yet unannounced AAA action-adventure game developed
by our North American team supported by PCF's European studios.
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Engine Programmer who exhibits passion and
curiosity in building complex systems and desire to lead a team of engine
engineers. At People Can Fly you will work with some of the industry's most
exciting technology and work alongside talented individuals. Working across
multiple departments and in close proximity with design and gameplay
engineers, you and your team will implement the core game systems and tools to
help our gameplay engineers achieve their vision
In this role you will:
Be the engineer responsible for our engine team creating systems to
support gameplay as well as being the vanguard for performance and
scalability issues
Manage a team of engineers helping prioritize their tasks
Be involved in the development and growth of the engineers on your team
through mentoring and guidance
Report status of the work and status of your team to the Technical
Director
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
Test, debug, profile and optimize implementations.
Create design documentation according to team standards
Perform code and design reviews
Qualifications
At least 5+ years of experience in the production of games for consoles
and PC
At least one shipped project
Lead / managerial experience
Excellent knowledge of Unreal Engine
Excellent skills in C/C++
Strong familiarity with streaming, networking and performance
Ability to write efficient and maintainable code
Experience with profiling and optimizations
Nice To Have:
JIRA, Swarm and Perforce Knowledge
BS (or higher) in Computer Science or similar discipline (Physics,
Math, EE, etc.)
Familiarity with procedural generation systems
