SUMMARY
Gunzilla Games is looking for a Junior Gameplay Programmer. You will work
under the supervision of the Lead Gameplay Programmer to develop gameplay
elements that facilitate the playability of the game and complex gameplay
mechanisms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Junior Gameplay Programmer, you will:
Work with other team members to develop features in accordance with the
scope and vision of the game
Utilize Unreal Engine 4 C++ and Blueprint API to resolve gameplay tasks
Use practical solutions to implement feature requests
Code incrementally, take care not to break existing features
Progressively integrate development into the shared codebase
Use a code style that is efficient and easy to read
Ensure that code changes are fully tested
Debug your own code as well as bugs of basic complexity in the rest of the
engine
REQUIREMENTS
Enthusiasm and desire to work in the game development industry
Solid knowledge of C++, object-oriented development
Basic knowledge of the software development environment and associated
tools (i.e. Visual Studio, Source Control, etc.)
Basic knowledge of templates, design patterns, and anti-patterns
Basic knowledge of Linear Algebra and Geometry
Ability to write clear, concise code as well as document implemented
features
Ability to follow and respect coding standards and methodologies in place
Good communication skills
Interest in computer and video games
Ability to manage your own time and work within deadlines
Good English skills
Some prior experience in Programming/Web Development will be a plus
Prior experience with Unreal, Unity or any other third-party engine would
be a plus
