Description
We are hiring for Finance Manager with minimum of 5 year's experience
with the knowledge of the local accounting rules, regulations, and taxes in
Malaysia or Singapore and is able to close full sets of book by him/her
self.
Skills Required:
Finance Management:
Should have hands-on experience in end-to-end accounting activities and
book closures.
Knowledge of the local accounting rules, regulations, and taxes in
Malaysia or Singapore is a must.
Manage and oversee the accounting, compliance, and audits in Malaysia or
Singapore.
Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports
that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally
accepted accounting principles (local GAAP).
Participate in the development of internal financial and accounting
policies and procedures. Implement, and ensure compliance with internal
financial and accounting policies and procedures laid out
Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization (Income Tax,
etc.), are met and that financial information is secure and stored in
compliance with current legislation
Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with
the external auditors as necessary
Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management,
accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control and petty cash.
Ensure that all transactions are appropriately supported, approved and
authorised
Have regular meetings with the team and improve the processes, turnaround
time etc.
Assist the Studio Head in efficiently managing the studio P&L and provide
relevant financial insight to help achieve the studio's profitability
targets
Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with
policy. Ensure that the cash needs of the company are maintained.
Manage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are
properly recorded, amortized, and disposed of as appropriate
Good Communicator , “ Make It Happen” attitude, and should be ready to
work under pressure and long hours based on the business requirements
People Management and Development
To effectively manage the performance of one or two team members by
carrying out progress reviews and ensuring objectives and key outputs are
effectively communicated throughout the department.
Have a good working relationship with the team and other departments.
Communicate effectively with the team on a regular basis ensuring
information is clear, accurate, and timely.
Encouraging team participation in the way information is relayed to and
from the departments.
MIS and Reporting:
Maintain financial records for each site / Line of Business in a manner
that facilitates Management reports
Assist FP&A teams with the preparation of budgets by providing relevant
information on a regular basis
Provide accurate and timely reporting on the financial activity of
individual departments
Requirements
Proficiency in the use of computer programs for:
Accounting ERP like Microsoft D365, MS Axapta will be a plus
Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) in general and
Excel in particular
Qualifications:
Educational Qualification: Minimum Bachelor's degree, ideally Master's
degree, in a relevant field such as Commerce, Finance or Business
Administration
Professional Qualification: Chartered Accountant / CPA / CMA / ICWA
(not mandatory, but preferred)
