Who We Are

We're Sandbox VR, and we're the most advanced virtual reality experience in the world. Our mission is to bring people closer together through world- class immersive experiences. With our Hollywood motion capture cameras, 3D body trackers, and haptic suits, we're operating the next generation of cinemas - where our guests are the stars of their own movies. Venturing into space? You got it. Channeling your inner pirate? Absolutely. Need to get some steps but hate the gym? Our experiences definitely get our guests moving.

Since we launched in Hong Kong in 2017, we're now live in 34 locations and 7 countries around the world. (We're the #1 Activity in Hong Kong and Singapore on TripAdvisor, and are averaging 4.8/5 stars on our Google reviews across all US locations). Oh, did we mention we're rapidly expanding? We want you to be a part of our journey and help us build this new world!

The Sandbox VR Core People Team is comprised of three major functional areas, People Ops & Systems, Business Partners, and Centers of Excellence. This role leads the largest pillar within our People Center of Excellence functions, specializing in building the internal strength of the organization with programs developed from concept through execution and ongoing management. This role will report to the Vice President of People, and will serve as a member of the People Leadership Team.

What You'll Do:
You will build a backlog, proactively identifying problems impacting company performance, and will lead cross-functional projects to solve for them. You'll spearhead working group meetings, gather consensus, building a strong path forward, while resolving any issues as they occur.
You will own Sandbox VR's employee value proposition, ensuring we have a clearly defined "pitch" for our recruiting function, and ensure authentic delivery on those promises to our internal teams.
You will mentor our current Global Learning & Development function and it's team, supporting the build of multi-modal efforts (including training curriculums, 360s, and sponsored external trainings) to help our current team members excel in role, while preparing them for future growth.
You will lead our performance management strategy, partnering closely with our Business Partner function to ensure the tools and processes are well suited to drive high individual performance.
You will maintain our value-based competency model, ensuring our core values are embedded into all key talent lifecycle processes
You will build out our large-scale cultural efforts, including our global recognition and awards strategy.
You will lead Sandbox VR's company-wide change management efforts, ensuring project teams strategize the best way to effect change, and will help them deliver effective communications, including major stakeholder updates on progress, outcomes, and risks.
During new program development, you will evaluate needs with key people-team stakeholders, then plan and define project milestones, timelines, deliverables, and ongoing resources needed. Your team will then own the evaluation process for all People programs deployed globally, and you will build out metrics for success for all of these affiliated areas.
You will partner with our internal people analytics teams identify themes in our engagement data, quantifying risks in the talent management lifecycle, and developing data-driven solutions.
What We're Looking For:
People Program Development Expertise - Top tier candidates will have deep experience and knowledge of how to develop world-class programs to enhance the employee experience, while also strengthening the organization from within.
Start-Up Mentality - We like people who are solution-oriented, good at decision-making, and comfortable with making sense of ambiguity with an eye towards building for scalable growth.
