SUMMARY
Gunzilla Games is looking for a 3C Systems Designer. The successful candidate
will help us imagine and develop compelling and engaging rules for our AAA
game. From conception to release and throughout post-launch, the 3C Systems
Designer develops high-quality systems and mechanics that are adapted to the
intended audience and enable players to live out unique, engaging, and rich
experiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a 3C Systems Designer, you will:
Work on the core mechanics of the initial player experience: character,
camera, and control
Design one or several parts of the game's systems, controls, and
interfaces
Maintain clear design and technical documents using Confluence, JIRA, and
Microsoft Office tools alongside other disciplines
Collaborate on the game systems from conception to release with the entire
development team
Support less-experienced game designers
REQUIREMENTS
Experience working on collision-behavior between game entities and player
feedback
Experience tuning a range of primary and supplementary input devices,
including considerations for disabled gamer access
Experience collaborating with AI programmers, artists, and animators to
create and implement NPCs with a focus on reactive, systemic, and emergent
behaviors
An understanding of targeting systems, how they work on a variety of input
devices, and how the different input devices are balanced
Knowledge of systems that deal with non-text player-to-player
communication
Awareness of how tracking data is used to evaluate designs, tune and
balance the game, and track player actions
