We are currently looking for a 2D Technical Artist to join our Burbank Team! This unique position requires a creative, talented and motivated individual to collaborate with multiple disciplines to help create exciting new features for our games!

We are looking for a UI Technical Artist who's focus will be to implement the player's User Interface within Unity. To successfully execute the role, you will need to have familiarity with the Unity engine and the ability to translate design specs and UX wireframes into interactive 2D elements that delight our players.

As a Technical Artist, you will be involved in all aspects of internal game development, from brainstorms and pre-production to content releases for live operations. You will partner with the Lead Technical Artist and Project Art Lead to define the most appropriate tools, methods and approaches for each project. You will also work directly with artists and engineers to ensure that the artwork is accurately and consistently represented in game, as well as optimized for the needs of our game's performance. The ideal candidate is a creative, talented and motivated individual eager to learn, contribute to a collaborative team, and grow their skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES
 Deliver optimized UI assets and layouts based on wireframes.
 Participate in visual critiques and brainstorms. 
 Collaborate with engineers to build features and solve creative technical problems.
 Assist animators and artists with troubleshooting. Issues may include animation, shaders and FX.
 Software Technical Support for artists.
 Research industry standards and develop new techniques and workflows.
QUALIFICATIONS
 2-5 years of production experience working on mobile games.
 Experience with the Unity game engine.
 Experience with troubleshooting UI issues.
 Familiarity with GIT.
 Familiarity with at least one programing or scripting language, preferably C/ or python.
 Working knowledge of Photoshop.
 Understanding of the Unity Transparency queue and Controller state machines.
 High proficiency of technical problem solving.
 Able to multi-task like a pro.
 Strong organizational and analytical skills.
 Sense of humor and a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
 Ability to take direction.
 Self-starter, reliable, and passionate about their work.
 Eye for detail with a clear understanding of the big picture.
 Team player who understands the value of regular and effective communication.
 Ability to provide a bridge between artists, designers and software engineers.
 Affinity for Disney/Pixar.
 Passion for video games is a must!
